never allows any conflict in cultural matters. I have heard that a cleric has said that statue of Lakshman would disturb namaz inside the mosque. I would like to say in Mumbai Hindus allow namaz inside Ganesh Pandal and in Uttarakhand Eid namaz was organized inside a Gurudwara. So how would a silent statue disturb namaz inside mosque?”
The Mayor called on the religious leaders and clerics to support installation of the statue to pay respect to someone who established the historic city.
