STF arrests assistant teacher for using forged documents to get job

LUCKNOW: An assistant teacher of a Sitapur primary school was arrested on Thursday by UP Special Task Force (STF) for allegedly using forged documents of another person to get the government job. The STF officials said the accused had revealed the names of some more persons who had procured jobs by using the documents of other people and more arrests were likely in the case.

STF senior superintendent of police (SSP) Abhishek Singh said the STF teams were working on the case after being tipped off about some persons involved in using documents of other people for getting jobs of assistant teachers in basic education department.

He said the accused Shatrughan of Sant Kabir Nagar was arrested after thorough investigation about his documents in association with local basic education authorities of Sitapur.

The SSP said Shatrughan got the job using the name of one Anil Kumar Yadav and his documents of high school, intermediate and other higher studies in 2009. Shatrughan was posted as assistant teacher at Supauli primary school of Sitapur. He said Anil Kumar Yadav is already employed in the basic education department and posted as principal of Dharampur Campierganj primary school in Gorakhpur since 2007 after qualifying the special basic training certificate.

“The accused revealed during interrogation that he managed to get photostat copies of the documents of Anil Kumar Yadav with the help of one Saheb Ram Tewari. He lodged a complaint of losing his documents at GRP police station of Gorakhpur posing himself as Anil Kumar Yadav and thereafter managed to get the second copies of all educational documents from UP Board and Gorakhpur University which he used in getting the job of assistant teacher,” he explained.

He said the accused told that he is postgraduate but did not get enough marks in high school and intermediate that is required for getting the job, so he used the documents of another person.

The SSP said the accused revealed that his elder brother Ramanand also managed to get job using documents of another person using the same trick.

He said further investigation in the matter is on and efforts are being made to arrest Ramanand and Saheb Ram Tewari who helped people in getting jobs using forged documents.

He said the arrest of Tewari might reveal names of more people involved in this job racket.
