As many as 60,743 candidates were to take the exam at 120 centres in Lucknow. They had started converging at Charbagh from different districts since Saturday. After the news of paper leak spread, the candidates lost
patience and staged protest at Charbagh railway station and bus depot.

Many of them claimed that they were unemployed and would find it difficult to come to Lucknow again for writing the exam. The irate candidates entered reserved compartments of trains and did not let passengers
occupy their seats. Even senior citizens and women had to face their ire.
This was not the first time that candidates of this exam faced problem.
