RLD youth wing organises ‘Halla Bol’ protest against BJP
MEERUT: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) youth wing staged ‘Halla Bol’ protest against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) outside the office of the divisional commissioner here on Wednesday.
Braving downpour, hundreds of RLD activists and leaders came together to target the state and the union governments on issues of corruption and increasing unemployment. They raised slogans against the BJP for not fulfilling the promises it made in its election manifesto.
Addressing the gathering, national president of the RLD youth wing Chaudhary Vaseem Raja said, “The BJP promised to provide two crore jobs every year and to usher in good days, but nothing happened even after four years of rule. Angry youths will uproot this government in the 2019 general elections.”
He alleged that corruption was rampant in the state and the government had failed to create employment opportunities for youngsters. Coming down heavily on the UP government, Raja said that law and order had reached a low and the government was patronising criminals. “The RLD youth wing will demand a report card from the government and expose the BJP by staging similar protests at the
divisional level,” he said.
Raja also said that the “politics of hatred” that the BJP had started in western UP, was brought to an end by the RLD during
the Kairana and Noorpur by-elections. “I call upon youngsters to join the RLD, as it is the only party that cares for the young,” he said.
