Job racket busted, three arrested
LUCKNOW : The UP Special Task Force (STF) arrested three persons including the kingpin behind a racket involved in duping hundreds of job aspirants by creating website www.nfssc.org and announcing jobs for different posts after floating a fake organisation in the name of national food and seed storage council.
The STF official said the fraudsters misled gullible youths by floating an organisation with the name similar to two different organisations related to food corporation and seed storage and duped several youths.
Those arrested were identified as two brothers Sandip Mishra and Raj Kumar Mishra, residents of Balia and their accomplice Alok Mishra, resident of Varanasi. The two brothers are the kingpin of the racket.
Additional superintendent of police (ASP) of STF Vishal Vikram Singh said the fraudsters collected ₹1,100 registration fees from the aspirants and ₹1lakh to Rs 5 lakh for recruitment on nine different posts publicised on the website.
Moreover, the fraudsters had also issued fake appointment letters to the aspirants after giving week-long training at their office set up at a rented house in C-Block, Indira Nagar, he added.
He said the two brothers revealed during interrogation that they were operating this racket since April this year and had accumulated several lakhs from different youths in past six months.
He said at least 150 unemployed youths have been duped by the fraudsters. And 14 job aspirants were found doing training at the fraudsters’ office when the STF team raided there on Thursday afternoon, he added. The ASP said the two brothers revealed that they had got prepared the website from their cousin who is a software developer. He said the role of their cousin in the entire fraud is yet to be ascertained and further probe in the matter is on.
Singh said the three accused have been booked under different charges of fraud and forgery on the complaint of one of their victims Harsh Dev Pandey.
He said Pandey had lodged an FIR against the two brothers at Ghazipur police station on Wednesday after which the STF team raided the office and unearthed the racket.
