Maintaining integrity enhances academic accomplishments: Expert
LUCKNOW : Department of English and Modern European Languages, Lucknow University and Department of English, Avadh Girls’ PG College in collaboration with the American Embassy, New Delhi, organized a talk on “The Importance of Academic Integrity” here on Thursday.
Conrad Turner, counsellor for Cultural Affairs at the American Embassy, initiated the talk and spoke on the need of ethics in the academic sphere.
He also expressed his views upon the idea of ‘honour code’ which were standards that students expect of themselves.
He added that maintaining integrity enhances academic accomplishments.
He said that youths needed to imbibe very strong morals and values.
He also emphasised on working in a united manner and going along with other people and leading them as it helped in a person’s development.
The talk was followed by an interactive session where students asked several questions on how to build a more transparent

On the occasion Mandeep Kaur, All India Principal Program Advisor Public Affairs Section, American Embassy and Professor Nishi Pandey, manager, Avadh Girls’ PG College and Dr Upma Chaturvedi, principal, Avadh Girls’ PG College were also present at the event.
Faculty and students from Lucknow University, Jai Narain PG College and Christian College were also present at the event.
