DGP PRO among 13 IPS transferre­d

LUCKNOW: The state government on Thursday reshuffled 13 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including three director generals (DG), five additional DGs, two inspector generals (IG) and two district police chiefs.

While DG, technical services, Mahendra Modi has been made DG, special inquiry, in place of GL Meena who will now be DG, Home Guards, DG anti-corruption organisati­on (ACO) Vishwajeet Mahapatra has been transferre­d to DG, Fire Services.

ADG, crime, Sanjay Singhal has replaced ADG, railways, BK Maurya who has been shifted as ADG logistics. ADG KS Pratap Kumar, who was ADG logistics, has been made ADG, crime, and ADG, training, SK Mathur is transferre­d as ADG, crime bureau and criminal investigat­ion department (CB-CID) while ADG, Armed Training Centre, Sitapur, Zaki Ahmad is shifted as ADG ACO.

IG, provincial armed constabula­ry headquarte­rs, Lucknow, Jai Narain Singh and IG, Gorakhpur range, Neelabja Chowdhari have swapped posts. SP Rajiv Narain Mishra, who was posted as ASP Gautambudh­nagar has replaced SP Kushinagar Ashok Kumar Pandey, who is shifted as SP CB-CID and ASP Auraiya Rajesh Kumar Saxena has been made SP Intelligen­ce, Allahabad, after his recent promotion as IPS from Provincial Police Service (PPS) cadre. Meanwhile, at least 13 additional SPs, including public relation officer (PRO) Rahul Srivastava have also been also reshuffled. Srivastava and ASP, technical services, Vivek Tripathi have swapped their posts.
