NOVEMBER 20, 2016: Over 100 killed as 14 coaches of Indore-Patna Express derail in Kanpur Dehat district.
DECEMBER 28, 2016: 40 people been injured after 15 coaches of Sealdah-Ajmer Express derails near Kanpur, two of the coaches fall into a dry canal bed. NOVEMBER 24, 2017: Three people were killed and 12 injured when 13 coaches of the Vasco Da GamaPatna Express derailed in Chitrakoot district, UP.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2017: A goods train and the Burhwal-Balamau passenger train derailed at the same point in Sitapur within 10 hours.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2017: Seven coaches of the Jabalpur-bound Shaktikunj Express derailed in Sonbhadra district of UP. However, no casualties were reported.
AUGUST 23, 2017: 74 passengers were injured when the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express that was coming from Azamgarh derailed in Auraiyya district of Uttar Pradesh. AUGUST 19, 2017: At least 23 passengers were killed and over 400 seriously injured when 14 coaches of the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express derailed at Khatauli town of Muzaffarnagar, UP.
MARCH 30, 2017: Six passengers were injured after eight coaches of the Jabalpur-Delhi Mahakoshal Express derailed at Kulpahar in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh.
