Lucknow to host state’s first zoo conference
LUCKNOW: For the first time, Uttar Pradesh will host a four-day annual conference of the Indian Zoological Gardens from November 12.
The Central Zoo Authority is organising the mega event in which directors of 30 big zoological parks from across the country will participate.
Apart from discussing problems being faced by the zoological parks, the directors will also discuss innovative measures taken to improve working of their parks. This information was given by RK Singh, director, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, Lucknow.
In the conference, 10 resource partners will also participate who will share their experiences.
Member secretary of the Central Zoo Authority Dr DN Singh will represent the Central government and Dara Singh Chauhan, forest minister in the Yogi government, will inaugurated by conference. On the second day of the conference on November 13, delegates will visit Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary and Kanpur Zoological Gardens for a study tour.
On the third day of the event on November 14, delegates will visit Lucknow Zoo and crocodile breeding centre at Kukrail .
