Gang of solvers busted, four arrested

PRAYAGRAJ : Four persons, including the alleged kingpin of the gang involved in solving answers for the TET examinatio­ns, were arrested from a cyber café in Rajrooppur area here on Saturday. The police raided the cafe on a tip-off and arrested four persons, said inspector, Dhumanganj, Sandeep Mishra. Police claimed they used to take Rs 2 lakh to 20 lakh from aspirants for proving solvers.

PRAYAGRAJ: Four persons, including the alleged kingpin of the gang involved in solvers answers for the TET examinatio­ns, were arrested from a cyber café in Rajrooppur area of Prayagraj here on Saturday.

SSP Nitin Tiwari said Inspector Dhumanganj Sandeep Mishra and his team raided the cyber cafe on a tip off and arrested four persons.

Those arrested were identified as cafe owner Kuldeep Singh and solvers Pankaj Singh, Jagjivan Yadav and Amarjeet Singh (all residents of Kaushambi). Police claimed they used to take Rs 2 lakh to 20 lakh from aspirants for proving solvers. Inspector said a diary was recovered which revealed the details of advance taken from TET aspirants in return of providing the solvers.

Questionin­g from the accused disclosed that a coaching owner is the kingpin of the gang who used to deal with aspirants. The gang members used to mix the photograph­s of aspirant and the solvers to avoid being caught. The gang was active since several years and provided solvers in different competitiv­e examinatio­ns.

Meanwhile, STF also picked up some persons from Pratapgarh for questionin­g.
