Man arrested for murdering relative to frame old enemies
LUCKNOW : A man was arrested for murdering his relative in a Malihabad village to frame his enemies in the case.
The conspiracy was exposed when a villager tipped off the police about the involvement of the accused in the matter.
Inspector of Malihabad police station Mukul Prakash Verma said the arrested accused was identified as Pappu who hatched the plot to murder his 65-year-old relative Allaudin, a resident of Jamolia village in Malihabad.
He said Pappu revealed during interrogation that he, along with his two other accomplices Naseer and his unknown friend, had strangled Allaudin to death after taking him to a deserted spot on the intervening night of June 4 and 5 this year.
Pappu revealed that he and Allaudin’s son Majid were friends and were convicted of rape and other charges in a case of elopement of a minor girl in 2003 and were recently out on bail after they had appealed in the higher court.
He said Majid’s and his family had enmity with the girl’s family since then and he was planning

to settle scores with them.
“With a plan to frame the girl’s family in the case, Pappu and his accomplices murdered Allaudin and got the girl’s family members named by the victim’s family. The police, however, had not arrested the girl’s family members despite being named in the case as their presence was not anywhere near the crime scene at the time of incident,” Verma said.
He added, “The case was pending since then”.
He said Allaudin’s another son Saeed was tipped off by some villager about involvement of Pappu in his father’s murder.
Saeed passed on this information to the cops. Police investigated this angle and arrested Pappu on Saturday after his involvement was confirmed, Verma said.
He added that efforts were on to arrest the other two accused involved in the crime.
