PRAYAGRAJ: :Former union minister and BJP MP from Patna Sahib seat Shatrughan Sinha, said that if speaking the truth was revolt, then he indeed was a rebel, on Wednesday. He said that he neither ‘revolts’ to serve his own interests nor seeks any favours and yet was considered a ‘rebel’.

In Prayagraj, while on way to the neighbouring district of Chitrakoot, to attend a public meeting being held to oppose ruling BJP government’s policies in the state and the centre, Sinha categorically said that he does not share stage with the opposition but just speaks the truth and raises the voice of the common people and the needy.

Addressing a section of mediapersons outside a hotel in Civil Lines, Sinha said that before a BJP worker, he was a citizen of India. “It is for this reason that I try to show the mirror to my own government and people,” he added.

Sinha said that development was always at the top of the agenda for him and it was up to the people to decide whether during the BJP rule, development took place or not.

On the Ram temple issue, Sinha said that those who made the promises on the Ram temple should now answer people’s questions about it.

He made it clear that he personally never made any such promise and those who did would now be asked to answer questions related to the issue. However, he did not answer questions on possibilities of his contesting the forthcoming Parliamentary elections against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi.
