Broadband users face network issues

-

LUCKNOW: For the last 2-3 days, broadband users of the stateowned BSNL are facing acute network problems in some parts of Lucknow due to frequent cuts in optical fibre cables because of construction work by Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation.

“We are mainly facing broadband problem,” said a resident near Vidhan Sabha Marg. He claimed many broadband users were facing frequent problems due to OFC cut by LMRC.

Broadband users want BSNL and Metro authorities to fix the problem at the earliest.

“I received several messages regarding broadband problem. We have asked our officials to visit the affected site and fix the problem, if any. We are not sure about the fault yet,” said Kumar Keshav, managing director, LMRC. The optical fibre snag was quite regular when LMRC initiated road-digging work, said broadband users.

“We have attended several meetings of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) and have procured the route map from them. We have laid parallel optical fibre on the outer ring of the city that will work as a back-up to the existing line. But occasionally, certain technical snags occur,” said a BSNL official.HTC
