Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar takes charge as AOC-in-C

PRAYAGRAJ: Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar took over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Air Command (CAC) of IAF on Tuesday. In his address, Kumar outlined his vision for the CAC and complement­ed the officers for their profession­alism. Kumar, a Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) awardee, is a product of Mayo College, Ajmer and an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasl­a. He was commission­ed in the flying branch of Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot in June 1982. He is category ‘A’ qualified flying instructor, instrument rating instructor and an air crew examiner. In addition to various staff appointmen­ts at Air Headquarte­rs, he had also commanded a frontline fighter squadron and a fighter base.
