Soon, coffee table book for branding Smart City works
LUCKNOW: A coffee table book for branding of Smart City works in the state capital would be released soon. A presentation of its main points was made before the divisional commissioner during a meeting at his office on Monday.
The divisional commissioner directed authorities to launch a web portal of Smart City in Lucknow on January 15.
Lucknow has made power savings of Rs 18 crore after sodium streetlights were replaced with LED lights, said LMC officials during the meeting. On this, divisional commissioner directed other departments to use LED for energy saving.
Avanti Bai Hospital will also be having a rooftop solar power plant to save energy.
The divisional commissioner was told that an underground parking facility would be made on the land in front of district collector’s office. A project in this regard would be presented soon. This would solve the problem of parking at the DM’s office, said officials.Master system integrator firm M/s Fluent Grid gave a presentation on establishing variable message signs at important crossings in the city. A presentation was also given for upgrading traffic signal system at Hazratganj crossing. The LMRC presented a report on the multi modal integration with Hussainganj, Secretariat and Hazratganj underground stations.
