Bada Udasin akhada enters Prayagraj with Dharmdhwaja
Following its age old tradition the Nagar Pravesh (formal entry) of the top body of seers called ‘Shree Panch’ of ‘Shree Panchayati Akhada Bada Udasin’ was as grand as other Shaivite Akhadas in Prayagaraj, on Monday.
The Jamat, as called by Bada Udasin, was given a warm welcome by other seers of the Akhada and local devotees as they arrived in the city in a colourful procession. The Jamat also carried the decked up temple of Jagatguri Shree Shreechandra Maharaj- the presiding deity of Bada Udasin. Mahant Shivanandji Maharaj, Kothari or the treasurer of Shree Panchayati Akhada Bada Udasin were amongst the prominent saints who were present to greet the Jamat. Devotees stood on both side of the road to pay their obeisance to Shreechandra Bhagwan and the seers who were carrying the temple. The Shree Panch members including Shreemahant Maheshwar Das, Shreemahant Raghumuni, Shreemahant Durgadas and Shreemahant Advaitnand were also greeted with tons of flowers which were showered on them as they arrived to Patharchatti
