Constable terminated from service over rigging exam
LUCKNOW :Police constable Arun Kumar Singh, the alleged mastermind of examination rigging racket that was busted during assistant teachers’ examination at National Inter College centre on Sunday, was terminated from his services on Wednesday.
SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said the constable was suspended immediately after his arrest by UP Special Task Force on Sunday and was terminated from the services after getting an inquiry report in the matter from circle officer of Hazratganj Abhay Mishra.
He said the constable along with his elder brother Ajai Kumar Singh, who is ground water officer in Meerut, used to operate the examination rigging racket in connivance with school principals for the past many years.
He said the constable along with eight others including principal of National Inter College Uma Shankar Singh, teacher of Dayanand Inter College, Indiranagar Ram Ikbal Shukla, who was doing duty as centre superintendent, revenue inspector of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, Shahnoor, who was performing duty of room invigilator, were arrested for rigging the examination. The official said the constable during interrogation said he and his brother was running the racket for the past few years and had earned several crore rupees through this corrupt practice. He said the constable in connivance with the principal and centre superintendent, was helping the candidates.
