Bhagwat to attend Dharam Sansad
PRAYAGRAJ : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will stay in Kumbh Mela area for three days between January 30 and February 1.
Bhagwat will also attend the Dharam Sansad scheduled to be held in the VHP camp in Kumbh area, in which the date of commencement of the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya is likely to be decided.
The presence of the RSS chief in the Dharam Sansad along with top leadership of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), including president Alok Kumar and vice-president Champat Rai, holds significance after his recent statement that only a Ram Temple will be constructed in Ayodhya.
According to RSS leader Nagendra Jaiswal, Bhagwat will arrive from Kanpur on January 30 and meet Sangh activists in the mela area.
He is also likely to hold talks with top leadership of VHP before participating in the Dharam Sansad next day.
VHP district unit officebearer Ashwani Mishra said, “The Dharam Sansad is an event of saints and the latter were expected to take a final decision on the temple issue.
Saints have also raised the issue of temple construction in Ayodhya before chief minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to different Akhadas on January 5, to which the CM had assured that a solution through legislation was being chalked out.
