Sasa, Siddharth win titles in district tennis
LUCKNOW: Sasa Katiyar and Siddharth Kumar won the under-16 titles in the girls and boys sections, respectively of the Lal Keshwar Prasad Memorial District Tennis Tournament, at the SGPGI Court here on Wednesday. Sasa defeated Satakshi Tewari 4-1, whereas Siddharth beat Aman Goel 4-0 in the finals.
Nalin Reddy, Madiha Khaliq, Vanshraj, Aairah, Aatharva Kapoor etc. also won titles in different categories.
FINE BOWLING
Kritagya Singh and Divyansh Yadav took three wickets each as REPL Crusaders scored a thrilling two-run win against Sound Images Club to collect full points in the 15th Shamshi Trophy, at the LDA Stadium here on Wednesday. Kritagya took 3/22, where as Divyansh had 3/45 as SIC could make 176 in 38.3 overs while chasing 179 in 40 overs. Anuj Kumar, Priyanshu Srivastava and Vijay Yadav too shared three wickets between them.
COLTS WIN
Lucknow Colts defeated Annapurna Cricket Club by three wickets to collect full points in the 2nd Phoolmati Om Prakash Saxena Memorial Tournament here on Wednesday. Anurag Patra and Vinay Mishra took three and two wickets, respectively as Lucknow Colts got the rivals out for 90 in 33.2 overs, and in reply, reached home in 20 overs, but only after losing seven wickets. In other matches of the day, Sandeep Cricket Academy beat Excers Cricket Club by 53 runs and Parth Cricket Academy beat IPRK Cricket Academy by nine wickets.

Vikash Chaudhary (79) and Ashosk Yadav (61) slammed sparkling half centuries as Uttar Pradesh Police scored a thumping 198-run win against Awadh Sky Sports Club in a B division league, at the Chowk Stadium here on Wednesday.
In C division, Aryavart Cricket Academy beat Tariq Cricket Club by 79 runs, whereasLife Care Cricket Club beat Ekana Rangers by six wickets in a D division encounter.

An international athlete Shally Srivastava of DPS, Eldeco, has been picked up in Uttar Pradesh’s team to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games 2019 at Pune. Shally would be participating in 200 mtr race in under 17 category. She has constantly been an achiever in the field of athletics and ensured a remarkable place having been declared the best athlete at the International Athletics Meet held at DPS Noida.
