HOW TO KEEP SAFE

-

People can keep away from infection by avoiding crowded places. They need to stay at a distance from those who have tested positive or those who have symptoms such as cold or fever.

Dr Sandeep Kapoor, director, Healthcity Hospital, said restricting infection is the key to check spread of swine flu.

Doctors said one should keep his/her elbow before the mouth while sneezing and items used by a patient should be cleaned separately and thoroughly to make sure infection does not spread.

“All government hospitals have the facility of screening suspected patients and medicine is also being provided to those who test positive,” said Dr Narendra Agrawal, chief medical officer, Lucknow.
