GANG OF THIEVES BUSTED

PRAYAGRAJ : Kumbh police busted a gang of thieves involved in theft and snatchings at different ghats in the Mela area. Police recovered ornaments and cash from the six members of the gang nabbed on Wednesday. SSP Kumbh KP Singh said that on a tip off SHO Sangam police station Deepak Kumar and his team raided a deserted spot behind PWD camp in the Mela area and nabbed six suspects identified as Rajnish Kumar, Sanjay Rai, Suraj Kumar, Shahid Jamal, Niraj and Awdhesh Yadav. Cash, many gold chains and other ornaments were recovered from their possession. The gang members confessed to have been involved in many incidents of thefts and chainsnatching in the Mela area during the last few weeks, the SSP added.
