Himachal Pradesh students to visit Canada

NEW DELHI : Bharatiya Janata Party’s chief whip in the Lok Sabha, Anurag Thakur, has signed an agreement with Canada India Foundation to send eight meritoriou­s students of Himachal Pradesh to Canada under an exchange programme. “These students will be chosen from amongst the topper of secondary and senior secondary examinatio­n in the hill state,” Thakur, a three-term member of the Lok Sabha from Harmirpur in Himachal Pradesh. Thakur has for the past a couple of years choosing meritoriou­s students from Himachal Pradesh for a countrywid­e tour, during which they are made to meet achievers from different walks of life.
