Himachal Pradesh students to visit Canada
NEW DELHI : Bharatiya Janata Party’s chief whip in the Lok Sabha, Anurag Thakur, has signed an agreement with Canada India Foundation to send eight meritorious students of Himachal Pradesh to Canada under an exchange programme. “These students will be chosen from amongst the topper of secondary and senior secondary examination in the hill state,” Thakur, a three-term member of the Lok Sabha from Harmirpur in Himachal Pradesh. Thakur has for the past a couple of years choosing meritorious students from Himachal Pradesh for a countrywide tour, during which they are made to meet achievers from different walks of life.
