OVER 10 LAKH TO GET MEDICAL COVER

LUCKNOW: About 10.10 lakh people will soon be covered under Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan, an insurance cover similar to Ayushman Bharat scheme, the state government, which presented the budget, announced on Thursday. Proposing an allocation of ₹111 crore for the scheme, the government said those who were eligible for the Ayushman Bharat Scheme but could not be enrolled due to other reasons will be covered under it. Under Ayushman scheme, 6 crore people from the state will be benefited. The government also announced to upgrade five district hospitals into medical colleges and allocated a sum of ₹908 crore for it.
