SOME MAJOR LAPSES

After issuing notice inviting tenders for the construction of the diaphragm wall, the superintending engineer lowered the qualification criteria for the project violating the directions of the finance department and chief vigilance commission (CVC) guidelines.

Gammon India that was awarded the contract was ineligible since it only had experience of excavating 19 lakh cum of earthen bund earthwork.
