MET PREDICTS MORE RAINS

LUCKNOW : After a fresh spell of showers in Lucknow on Thursday, the Meteorological department predicted rains, thundershowers in Lucknow and adjoining areas on Friday. The day and night temperatures were expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees, respectively, said the weatherman. Met officials said western disturbances over Himalayas and moisture feed from the Bay of Bengal were responsible for the change in weather conditions. Etawah recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state (6.8 degrees C) followed by Najibabad 7.2 degrees.
