BJP says TDP trying to scuttle Modi rally in Andhra
VIJAYAWADA: A senior BJP leader Friday alleged that the Telugu Desam Party led by Andhra chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu refused to give permission to use a ground in Visakhapatnam for an election meeting, to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on February 27. BJP floor leader in the Andhra assembly P Vishnukar Raju Friday told Hindustan Times that the party’s application for organising a public meeting on the Engineering College grounds of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam has been turned down by vice-chancellor G Nageswara Rao at the behest of TDP government. The BJP has been levelling similar allegations against the TMC government in West Bengal.
