Gadkari lays foundation of Ayodhya projects

LUCKNOW:Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said the Ganga would be made pollution-free by March next year.

Laying the foundation stone of five projects worth over Rs 7,195 crore in Ayodhya, Gadkari said drains dischargin­g water into Saryu river would be diverted soon.

“Under the Namami Gange project of the Centre, Rs 40 crore has been approved for the project,” he added.

Gadkari said a 46-km long Ayodhya ring road would be constructe­d to keep the city free from traffic jams.

“Under the Ram Van Gaman Marg, a road will be constructe­d from Ayodhya to Shringverp­ur Dham in Prayagraj,” he said.

Highlighti­ng the achievemen­ts of the Narendra Modi government, Nitin Gadkari said those projects, which could not be executed in the last 70 years, were completed in last five years.

The union minister also lauded the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh for making proper arrangemen­ts for devotees at Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
