Man accused of raping divyang girl arrested

RAE BARELI : A team of local police on Friday nabbed a man accused of raping a dumb and mentally deranged girl in Rae Bareli on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, inspector incharge of Jagatpur police station Brij Mohan, arrested the accused identified as Ram Prasad of Buniyad Singh village, superintendent of police Sunil Singh said.

The superintendent of police said the accused sneaked into the house of the victim when her mother had gone to the fields and outraged the modesty of the girl.

Incidentally, the mother on her return caught Ram Prasad in the act and tried to nab him but he managed to flee. On her complaint a case was registered and the accused nabbed.
