GOVERNMENT MUST EMPOWER DEFENCE PERSONNEL

There is no end to the problems faced by our soldiers who man the borders of our country. Still, in my view , the government doesn’t do much for them. It is yet to provide advanced weapons or fighter jets required by our forces. The demand of implementing one rank one pension is yet to be accepted.

The next government must come up with a plan to fulfil these pressing demands of defence personnel. How can our army fight for our security if we cannot take care of them.

The government must ensure that our defence personnel get state of the art weaponry to counter adversaries and that there is a dedicated fund for the family members of defence personnel.
