LUC­KNOW: Cir­cle of­fi­cer (CO) of Bareilly, Seema Ya­dav, has taken cog­nizance of a video in which a po­lice con­sta­ble was seen danc­ing with two or­ches­tra girls at a func­tion held in CB Ganj area re­cently.

Po­lice came in ac­tion af­ter the danc­ing video of the event went vi­ral on so­cial me­dia on Sun­day.

In the said video, two or­ches­tra girls with men, in­clud­ing the two men in uni­form, are seen danc­ing on a stage. The CO, who is in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mat­ter, said that the video was few days old. “The func­tion took place in CB Ganj area on Wed­nes­day. The dance was ar­ranged at a pub­lic event where some con­sta­bles were de­ployed to en­sure law and or­der,” she said.

“Af­ter scan­ning the video footage, we could iden­tify only one con­sta­ble, Lokesh Singh, posted at CB Ganj PS, who is seen danc­ing on the stage. He is in plain cloth. I have asked CB Ganj SHO to pro­vide de­tails of the po­lice per­son­nel who were on duty that night,” she said.

Mean­while, Bareilly SSP Mu­ni­raj said that the iden­ti­fied con­sta­ble would be sus­pended if the al­le­ga­tion against him was found to be true.
