DANGLING WIRES INTERRUPT ROADSHOW

LUCKNOW: The roadshow of Congress president Rahul Gandhi and general secretary (UP east) Priyanka Gandhi was briefly interrupted by dangling wires in Hussainganj area of the city on Monday. As the bus reached near Burlington crossing, Rahul felt uncomfortable with dangling wires and came out with Priyanka and Congress general secretary (UP west) Jyotiraditya Scindia. When the driver moved the bus, it got entangled in the wires. Security personnel used their sticks to remove the wires. The Congress leaders boarded the bus again after some distance. Executive engineer at Hussainganj substation of the Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) Anand Kaushal said the wires were of telecom companies and not of LESA. “LESA follows the norms when it comes to the height of wires. If at all there are some wires hanging below the prescribed norms, we will look into it,” he said.
