Sharing true tales of grit and courage

-

LUCKNOW :Braving all odds while carving a niche for themselves in the society, around 21 men and women shared their stories of grit and courage at energy exchange workshop ‘Turning Point’ organised by NGO ‘Ek Sukoon’ in the state capital on Tuesday.

A 21-year-old biker Aisha Ameen who rides her mean machine with her hijab, narrated her story at the workshop. She said initially she had to face hardships but today she has many rides to her credit now she is all set to participate in international rides. Quite happy with her success, her family is no more worried about her and support her in her endeavour.

Another fighter Neelam Singh Vaish is a cancer survivor. The disease could not dampen her spirit to fight and she emerged as a winner. Now she is working in Shakti project in Lucknow central. She is working tirelessly for the uplift of women at the grass root level.

Roli Singh, founder of citybased NGO Ek Sukoon said, “The idea behind the event was to bring those people together to share their experiences who have achieved success in the areas of their choice, not out of compulsion. These people have fought all odds to make their position in the society. The successful people telling their turning points in their lives would be motivating many others to pick up the profession and work which they like to pursue.”
