LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh minister Sidharth Nath Singh alleged that Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav was putting up a ‘stunt’ for cheap publicity.

He claimed that Akhilesh was rattled by the peaceful Kumbh and engaged in antics to bring bad name to the Yogi government. “The advisory committee of the university in Prayagraj had on February 8 decided that no politician would be allowed entry at the annual meeting of the university’s students union. Still Akhileshji is levelling baseless allegations on the Yogi government,” he said.

Singh said, “Today it has become clear that Akhileshji too utters lies like Rahul Gandhi.”

He said, “The truth is that

Akhilesh never had permission to attend the students’ union function. Secondly, his charge that Yogi government is stopping him from meeting saints is baseless as only few days back he was at Kumbh and had met seers. Third, there was violence by SP cadres at Akhilesh being denied permission. Guess what would have happened had he been allowed to travel to Prayagraj where Kumbh is going on,” he said.
