PRIYANKA ‘TURNS DOWN’ REQUEST TO CONTEST FROM LKO

LUCKNOW: A number of Congress leaders on Tuesday requested Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to contest 2019 Lok Sabha election from Lucknow.

“We want you to contest the election from Lucknow,” said a party leader at Priyanka’s meeting with the partymen from Lucknow.

“Priyanka only smiled and said she was there to prepare the cadres for elections and not to contest election herself,” said another leader adding, Priyanka asked the partymen to suggest names of local leaders for the seat. “As the number of partymen from Lucknow was large, Priyanka met the leader in two groups and both the groups requested her to contest from Lucknow,” said the leader.
