6 held for smuggling liquor

VARANASI: A joint team of Kotwali police and crime branch seized a truck loaded with liquor cartons and arrested six for smuggling near the Industrial Area in Chandauli late on Monday, police said. The consignment was being transported to Bihar from Punjab. The truck was loaded with 1,078 cartons and the estimated cost of liquor is ₹26 lakh. SP Santosh Singh gave this information on Tuesday.
