Aparna defends MSY’s ‘Modi back as PM’ remark
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav has defended his remark that he wished to see Narendra Modi back as prime minister.
“Like an elder statesman, he (Mulayam) has merely given his ‘aashirwad’ (blessings), which he does to others also. But you don’t win elections just by good wishes, you need hard work,” said Aparna defending SP patriarch’s views in a statement to news agencies.
Meanwhile, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath took a jibe at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav saying that he should accept the ‘truth’ spoken by his father.
BJP supporters were quick to capitalise on the issue and put up posters saying, “Thank you Mulayam Singh Yadav, today you reiterated the wish of the
125 crore Indians for the Lok Sabha.”
Meanwhile, activists of the National Social Worker Organisation
(NSWO) burnt effigies of former defence minister near Aminabad Inter College in Moulviganj on Thursday.
