22 DMs among 64 IAS shifted in pre-poll reshuffle
LUCKNOW : Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Uttar Pradesh government carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle and transferred 64 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers including 22 district magistrates, divisional commissioners, secretaries and special secretaries to the government. Large-scale transfers were expected after the Election Commission issued directives to transfer out officers, who had completed a three-year tenure in a district and set February 25 as the deadline to implement the order.

Dheeraj Sahu takes over as the new transport commissioner and managing director of UP States Road Transport Corporation from P Guru Prasad, who has been made commissioner, excise.
Sudesh Kumar Ojha, commissioner Devipatan division, has been shifted as secretary revenue department while Preeti Shukla, secretary, secondary education department, becomes the new commissioner of Devipatan and Anand Kumar Singh-I has been made commissioner, Mirzapur.

Of the 22 new district magistrates Ajay Shankar Pandey takes over as Muzaffarnagar DM, Ravish Kumar Gupta as Sant Kabir Nagar DM, Divya Prakash Giri as Sultanpur DM, Ram Manohar Mishra as Amethi DM, Nitin Bansal as Gonda DM, Chandra Prakash Singh as Kasganj DM, Umesh Mishra as Amroha DM, Pawan Kumar as Baghpat DM, Gyan Prakash Tripathi as Mau DM, Abhisek Singh Meena II as Auraiya DM, Ankit Kumar Agarwal as Sonbhadra DM, and Sujit Kumar as Bijnore DM.
Pranjal Yadav becomes special secretary, national integration department and Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, special secretary, home and prison. Ravi Shankar has been appointed special secretary, medical health, Arvind Kumar Chaurasia, managing director, PCF, Sanjay Kumar Khatri, special secretary, home and prison, Mala Srivasatav, Shri Kant Mishra and Mahendra Bahadur Singh, all three have been posted as special secretary, housing and urban planning department, Atal Kumar Rai, special Home and Prison, Prakash Bind, special secretary, finance, Hemant Kumar special secretary, medical health, Shakuntala Gautam, special secretary, women welfare.
