Bomb hoax delays Lucknow-Barauni Exp

-

LUCKNOW: A bomb scare gripped the Lucknow-Barauni Express on Sunday night when the train was detained at Piparsand station, about 25 km from Lucknow, after the station master received a call informing about a bomb on the train. Following a search, it turned out to be a hoax call. Soon after receiving the call, the station master informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) and other officials, including the bomb disposal squad, who rushed to the spot. The train that was heading towards Lucknow, was detained for more than an hour at the station, for the search operation. “We found nothing onboard. It was a hoax call,” said Somitra Yadav, SP GRP Lucknow.
