Akhilesh takes potshot at Vande Bharat tech snag
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday took to twitter taking potshot at Vande Bharat Express that developed a technical snag early on Saturday.
The country’s first semi-high speed train broke down on its return journey to New Delhi from Varanasi, a day after it was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “After the inauguration, fumes were seen in Vande Bharat train, power failure inside coaches, snag developed in brakes after which train came to a halt. Vande Bharat is a story of development. Farmers are angry, youths are unemployed, security system collapsed and country’s economy shattered,” Yadav tweeted.
A day before, Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Modi ji, I think Make in India needs a serious rethink. Most people feel it has failed. I assure you we in the Congress are thinking very deeply about how it will be done.”
