179 Nepali citizens rescued on way to Myanmar
IMPHAL: The 147 women and 32 men, who were rescued from different parts of Manipur after being trafficked from Nepal, were repatriated through the Nepal Embassy in Imphal on Sunday. Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh was also present at the function. The Nepali citizens including two suspected human traffickers were rescued in one of the biggest rescue operations, in the Manipur capital and Moreh, on the Indo-Myanmar border, on February 1 and 2 this year.
