MOHALI:The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) removed pictures of all Pakistani players that adorned its stadium walls in Mohali on Sunday.

The moves comes days after the Pulwama terror attack.

Confirming the news, PCA secretary RP Singla said it was an independent decision and a team was formed to remove the pictures of Pakistani players. “We, as an association, decided to do it on our own with no pressure from anyone. We have removed all the pictures. The entire nation is shocked by what happened in Pulwama and I think keeping the public sentiments in mind we have decided upon it,” he said.

The photographs included those of former Pakistan captains Imran Khan, Javed Miandad and Shahid Afridi.

“...Everybody is disturbed with the terror attack... and the association feels its our humble effort to show solidarity to the mood of the nation,” said treasurer Ajay Tyagi.
