PM Modi to unveil a slew of projects in Varanasi today
VARANASI:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address followers of Sant Ravidas and attend a series of programmes, including a public rally, in his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on Tuesday.
Modi will also gift development schemes worth Rs 3,382 crore to the city. He will inaugurate schemes worth Rs 3,167 crore and lay the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 214 crore. This is Modi’s second visit to Varanasi within a month.
Modi will visit Sant Ravidas Temple in Seer Goverdhanpur area to participate in Sant Ravidas Jayanti celebrations. He will offer prayers to Sant Ravidas and will call on Sant Niranjan Das.

Modi will visit Sant Ravidas Temple in Seer Area to participate in celebrations. He will offer prayers to Sant Ravidas .
He will lay the foundation stone of development works worth ₹90 crore to be carried out at Seer Goverdhan, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas, under the PRASAD scheme, to encourage tourism in the area. A total of 39 projects will be inaugurated and the foundation stone of eight others will be laid.
District magistrate Surendra Singh said, “All preparations for the visit of PM Modi have been completed.”
