Pulwama attack: Protest after BSA’s message goes viral
MUZAFFARNAGAR: A number of right wing groups staged a demonstration at the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) office here on Monday, after the screen shot of a message about the Pulwama terror attack, allegedly posted by the BSA on a WhatsApp group, went viral.
The activists demanded immediate action against the officer and afterwards filed a written complaint against the BSA with Civil Lines police.
The BSA was unavailable for comments but ADM (E) Amit Kumar Singh said an inquiry had been set up and that the BSA had explained in writing that the message had been misconstrued.
Reports said the matter came to light on Sunday in which BSA Muzaffarnagar Dinesh Yadav, allegedly in reply to a post on a WhatsApp group, posted a message: ‘Jawano per attack karaya gaya hai, hua nahi hai ( The attack on the CRPF jawans was orchestrated). The comment was allegedly in response to the message of a group member who had written ‘Jawans are trying to protect the nation from enemies at the cost of their lives ....... and
we are doing nothing to strengthen the nation.’
On Monday afternoon, Sanjay Arora of Rashtriya Hindu Shakti Sangathan, Narendra Panwar, district president of Shiv Sena, Manoj Saini of Sanyukt Hindu Morcha, Pankaj Gupta of Hindu Ekta Manch, Sachin Singhal , former district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad among others arrived at the BSA office. As the BSA was not there, they started dharna on the spot. CO city Harish Bhadoria and city magistrate Atul Kumar reached the spot and tried to pacify the agitating activists.
