LUCKNOW:Retired PCS officer Raj Kishore’s domestic help Mukesh had reportedly joined work at his house with a pre-planned conspiracy to commit robbery. Police probe revealed that the domestic help told his fake address of Gonda district and changed his duty hours from evening to morning after finding that the retired officer often remained alone during the day time.

Raj Kishore was former chairman of the UP subordinate service selection committee.

In the incident, the domestic help, who is missing after the incident, had allegedly helped five men to enter Kishore’s house near Munshipulia, Indira Nagar after finding circumstances suitable to commit the crime. The robbers held Kishore and his daughter Prashasti hostage before giving them sedative and reportedly took away jewellery and valuables worth ₹10 lakh along with Rs 40,000 in cash.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kalanidhi Naithani too admitted that initial probe hinted that the domestic help had joined the work with pre-planned intention to commit robbery. He however added that the police teams were tracking the robbers and soon they would be arrested.

A senior police official supervising the probe said Mukesh joined work at the retired PCS officer’s house barely a month ago and did not submit his identity proof employer despite being asked for it multiple times. He said the domestic help even told his wrong address in Itiyathok, Gonda. He said the police team was sent to trace Mukesh’s whereabouts in Itiyathok but the address told by him did not exist. He said it is suspected that he could have even told his fake name.

The official said two domestic helps worked at the retired officer’s house and Mukesh worked in the morning shift between 7.30am to 12.30 pm for making breakfast and lunch while another woman worked as domestic help in the evening. He said Mukesh earlier worked in the evening shift and had requested the retired officer to change his shift in the morning only a day before the incident.

“It seems that Mukesh analysed that it would be tough to commit robbery during evening time as the retired officer as well as his three daughters used to remain present during evening. Prashasti, who is doing law course, would have also not been at home but she did not go to the college on Monday,” he explained.

PROBE REVEALED THAT THE DOMESTIC HELP MENTIONED HIS FAKE ADDRESS AND CHANGED HIS DUTY HOURS AFTER FINDING THAT THE RETD OFFICER REMAINED ALONE DURING THE DAY
