Missing boy’s body found in Fatehpur

KANPUR : The body of a 10-yearold boy, who went missing on Wednesday evening, was found in Fatehpur district’s Sultanpur Ghosh village on Thursday morning. The incident comes days after six-year-old twins were found dead on Sunday after being kidnapped from their school in MP’s Chitrakoot on February 12 and thrown into the Yamuna.

KANPUR: The body of a 10-year-old boy who went missing on Wedn esday evening was found in Fat ehpur district’s Sultanpur Ghosh village on Thursday morning.

The deceased, Anurag Maur ya, was a student of Class 2. His father Basantlal Maurya told the police that his son was fond of sweets and after returning from school he used to visit the nearby sweet shop daily. When he didn’t return till late in the evening on Wednesday, the family began to search for him.The incident comes days after six-year-old twins were found dead on Sunday after being kidnapped from their school in MP’s Chitrakoot on February 12 and thrown into the Yamuna.

On Thursday morning, a few villagers spotted his body with his throat slit after which the police was informed. ASP Pooja Yadav said they were probing two-three angles and were likely to crack the case soon.

According to some villagers it could be a case of exorcism. Hundreds of protesting villagers thronged the spot where his body was found, demanding the arrest of the killer.
