LUCKNOW : A 45-year-old electrician was found murdered inside his house in Gudamba’s Atrauli village here on Saturday afternoon. His body was found lying on the floor in his bedroom with throat slit while the main entrance of the house was locked from inside.

Inspector of Gudamba police station Ravindra Nath Rai at said initial investigation hinted the involvement of an insider in the murder. He said the dog squad and finger print experts were called to examine the crime scene and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

He said the deceased Ram Dulare’s wife had died few years ago and he stayed in the house along with his two sons Jeetendra and Ankit. He said Jeetendra is married but his wife was at her maternal house in Aliganj for past few weeks. He said Jeetendra is a painter while Ankit assisted his father in his work.

Rai said the initial examination suggested that the assailant slit the victim’s throat with a sharp edged weapon and multiple injuries were also spotted on his face and chest. He said the injuries suggested that the victim had struggled before being overpowered by the assailant.

He said the body condition suggested that the victim was murdered at least two days before.

The inspector said Jeetendra told that he was out for painting work and returned home on Friday afternoon only to find the house locked. “Jeetendra stated he went to his maternal uncle’s house in Gadi village, which is few kilometres from there, after finding his father’s phone switched off. Moreover, Ankit was out of city for working in a marriage function and returned on Saturday afternoon and was the one to first inform the police after spotting the body,” he added.

He said Ankit stated that he entered the house by climbing over the roof from the adjoining house. He said the door of the staircase was found opened and it suggested the assailant had used the same route to exit from the house after committing the crime. He said the sniffer dog also hinted that the assailant climbed on the rooftop after committing the crime.
