5-yr-old MP girl raped, tortured, murdered

BHOPAL :A five-year-old girl was raped, tortured and murdered in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Thursday.

Barwani superintendent of police, DR Teniwar, said, “The girl went missing on Tuesday evening. A neighbour found her body just 600 metres away from her house on Wednesday afternoon. The body was covered with mud.”

“The post mortem report on Thursday revealed that the accused inserted a wooden stick and mud in the private parts of the girl. The accused also stuffed wooden sticks in her mouth and mud in the eyes and nose. The girl’s head was hit several times which resulted in grievous injuries,” said Teniwar. A team has been constituted to track down accused, the SP said.

A case against unidentified person under sections 302 (murder) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (Pocso) has been registered.
