Four firms selected for two e’way projects
LUCKNOW: Construction of the Bundelkhand Expressway and Gorakhpur Link Expressway will begin soon as the tender evaluation committee opened the financial bids for the two projects on Friday.
In all, four companies were selected for the two projects.
A spokesperson for UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) said the financial bids of 17 eligible companies for six parts of the Bundelkhand Expressway were opened. The lowest bid was 12.72% less than the estimated cost, he said, adding the UPIEDA will be able to save Rs 1131.74 crore.
The companies selected for the Bundelkhand Expressway include M/s Apco Infratech Private Limited (for parts 1 and 2), M/s Ashoka Buildcon Limited (for part 3), M/s Gawar Construction Limited (for parts 4 and 5) and M/s Dilip Buildcon Limited (for part 6).
Chief executive officer, UPEIDA, Awanish Kumar Awasthi said the UPEIDA will save total Rs 1229.18 crore on the construction of both the expressways. The companies selected for Gorakhpur Link Expressway include M/s Apco Infratech Private Limited (part 1) and M/s Dilip Buildcon Limited (part 2). The UPIEDA had acquired 51% land for the expressway. The construction of the 91.35-km expressway will commence near Jaitpur village in Gorakhpur district.
