POWERMEN STAGE DEMONSTRATION

LUCKNOW : Staging demonstrations over the provident fund (PF) scam at the Shakti Bhawan here and at many district headquarters on Tuesday, power employees demanded the state government to take the responsibility of payment of their PF deposited in the Power Sector Employees Trust. They also demanded transfer of senior officials holding positions in the Trust as trustees. UP Sanyukt Karmchari Sangharsh Samiti convener Shailendra Dubey said the employees were agitated over 60% of their total PF having been put in an unsecured private company.
