LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the Defence Corridor will gain momentum from the Bundelkhand Expressway.
Speaking in Chitrakoot after he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Bundelkhand Expressway, Yogi said the two projects will change the picture of Bundelkhand that had faced negligence over the years.
Yogi, highlighting the Defence Corridor further, said ‘made-in-Bundelkhand’ cannons would be used to fight the enemies.
The 269-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway would also help in doubling the income of the farmers in the region, he said.
Yogi said: “Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram had spent most of his time on this holy land during his exile period. To take Bundelkhand to new heights, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited this holy land of Chitrakoot today. During the time of Lord Shri Ram, Chitrakoot became his support system. In the same way, PM Modi has ended the 500- year wait for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.”
The chief minister said that earlier the Prime Minister had announced the ‘Har Ghar Nal Jal Yojana’ (tap water for each house). The supply of pure drinking water is going to start from this month.
He further said the Defence Corridor was being built in Bundelkhand and the youths of Bundelkhand will not have to go to other places for jobs.
He said the launch of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and Kisan Credit Card will fulfil the dreams of all farmers.
YOGI SAID THE DEFENCE CORRIDOR AND THE BUNDELKHAND EXPRESSWAY WILL CHANGE THE PICTURE OF BUNDELKHAND REGION.
